Buns of Butter performed at the Performance Art Festival in Cleveland, OH in April of 1999. Dancer Joe Jack Kaye met the Buns of Butter tour bus in Indiana. Dancer Davey S. Simon flew in from Washington D.C.

A new set was prepared for the show and the dancers wore outfits edged with sequins. For the opening number, each dancer stood on their cooler and sang during the refrain of the Buns of Butter theme song.

During the Donut Spin, the dancers had to reload their dowel rods with donuts several times. Dancer Davey S. was so hungry while working out, he nibbled on all of the workout materials during the show.

Buns of Butter was later reviewed as being "the best part of the performance art open." - the Plain Dealer (local paper in Cleveland).
